This place has the vibe locked in, the design is well done, the people are always kind, the service is always great. And last but not least the food is always delicious. I love the avocado salad, it is delicious
I would definitely eat here again. While it is not traditional Mexican food, it was delicious. The coconut rice was soft and mildly sweet. The carne asada plate was pretty good. I was not a huge fan of the mint in the green topping, but it was good nonetheless. The red salsa was quite unique and reminded me of something like a salsa macha. Just a couple of things that really don't matter a ton, but could be improved. My corn tortillas fell apart on me. They likely were not fresh. The flank steak was not exactly cut against the grain. It was sliced diagonally, so kind of against the grain. Cutting it against the grain would have improved eating it in a tortilla. Each tortilla I filled with meat I had to pull full pieces of meat out when I took a bite because I could not bite through the steak. The flank steak was juicy and delicious. I tried the chile verde that my wife got and it was also really good. I don't think you can go wrong eating here. Like I said, the food was delicious and I will go back if we are in the area.
First time trying this place and it was delicious! Our waitress got to us right away and took great care of us. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal with a friend or even your whole family. . Would highly recommend. Noah is a great server. Treated us well and swiftly. Collin was our waiter and we both quickly agreed he was the best waiter we have ever had. (Saying something because we eat out often!) was so kind, knew what to reccomend and made sure we were satisfied. The food was absolutely delicious. Bold, fresh and so satisfying! The flavors were on point. Wanted to drink the tomatillo salsa! new favorite Mexican cuisine!
Our hotel concierge recommended this spot, and I’m really glad we listened. The service was excellent, and both dishes we ordered — the arroz con pollo and the carne asada — were outstanding. Our waiter mentioned that the flavors we were tasting are traditional for this region, and it really made the meal feel like something unique. It was definitely different from the Mexican food I’m used to, but in the best way possible. A really fun and delicious experience. We’d absolutely come back the next time we’re in the area!
I was in town for 4 days for a conference and was recommended by a lady at my hotel. It did not disappoint! I spent 2 nights there trying the delicious carefully crafted cocktails made by Luke. Who is an amazing bartender and conversationalist! Also taught me a bit about Utah I didnt know before. Every drink I had was very well balanced and delicious. The food was exceptional as well. Very authentic and tasty Mexican cuisine! The staff was very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back next time I am in town! Thanks to Luke and the other staff for a great experience!
The Sonora Grill is quite something. I just ate a wonderful meal there today and really enjoyed it. I ordered Chilaquiles for brunch which included corn tortilla chips, green enchilada sauce (delicious), cheese, red onions, avocados, sour cream, shredded chicken, all built into a little tower with the onions and avocado on top⬆ For dessert I ate Margarita Mousse- totally delicious .
